General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Awarded Contract to Deliver 120mm Tank Training Ammunition

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) announced today that it was awarded a $198 million contract in July from the Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) to deliver 120mm M865A1 and M1002 tank training ammunition.

The 120mm M865A1 is a kinetic energy target practice round that displays accuracy and time-of-flight for the service round. The 120mm M1002 is a high explosive target practice multi-purpose training round. Both munitions are used for training on the U.S. Army’s M1A2 Main Battle Tank fleet and provide realistic, accurate, and safe training for tank gunnery.

This award follows a $255 million contract awarded to GD-OTS in April to deliver 120mm IM HE-T® Tank Ammunition to Poland, further expanding the company’s tactical tank capability and presence in international markets.
