The 105mm M724A1 Tank Training Round cartridge is used for gunnery training in tank-mounted 105mm gun cannons. This discarding sabot round is similar in external appearance and is ballistically similar up to 2000 meters with the APDS-T Cartridge M392A2. It is used as a training surrogate for all 105mm kinetic energy cartridges, including the M735, M774, M833 and M900. There is a tracer located in the base of the projectile. A plastic band encircles the sabot at the forward end. A fiber rotating band and rubber obturating band are mounted toward the base of the the sabot. The igniter tube of the electric primer extends almost the length of the propellant packed loosely in the cartridge case.

The M940 (HEAT) Tank Training Ammunition TP-T cartridge is for use in 105mm gun cannons for training in marksmanship. The cartridge is similar in external appearance and ballistically similar to the HEAT-T cartridge M456 series. The projectile consists of a steel body, an aluminum standoff spike, and a boom and fin assembly with tracer. The cartridge case is filled with loosely packed propellant and is fitted with an electronic primer.

The C76A1 cartridge is used in a direct fire, anti-armor role and is specifically designed for long range tank engagement. The cartridge is made up of two major elements, the projectile assembly and the cartridge. The projectile assembly consists of both a ballistic subprojectile and parasitic hardware. The subprojectile is comprised of a ballistic monobloc tungsten alloy penetrator, and aerodynamic windshield and a fin. The subprojectile is propelled downrange at hyper-velocity by the parasitic sabot assembly, which transfers momentum from the propellant gases to the subprojectile in-bore through a series of mating buttress grooves. The sabot assembly consists of a three-segment aluminum sabot, a bore riding steel bourrelet, a two-piece plastic slip band/obturator, and a molded elastomeric seal to prevent gas leakage. The sabot incorporates aerodynamic scoops at both the forward and aft ends to produce a smooth, symmetric discard from the subprojectile to muzzle exit. This is accomplished by employing the centrifugal forces of the barrel and the pressures of muzzle blast to insure an unimpeded, and accurate launch. The bourrelet and obturator maintain sabot integrity and provide obturation during in-bore travel. Upon launch, these components break away in a controlled and reproducible manner when a specific load is exerted by the action of the propellant and aerodynamic forces.

The C76A1(FP105) cartridge utilizes a multi-perforated M30 triple base propellant, or equivalent, and an electric M120 primer. The cartridge case is the standard steel M148A1B1. The standard titanium dioxide coated rayon cloth wear liner is used to decrease tube wear.

The M456A2 (HEAT-T) Tank Ammunition cartridge is a high explosive antitank cartridge and is intended for use in 105mm guns against armored targets. It has a dual role capability in killing dismounted infantry by blast and fragmentation and in destroying lightly armored and nonarmored vehicles and bunkers. The steel body projectile is fitted with a plastic obturator, a threaded standoff spike assembly, a fin and boom, and a PIBD fuze. A funnel-shaped copper liner within the body shapes the explosive charge of Comp B. A piezoelectric element retained in a nose cap is fitted to the spike assembly and is  connected to the BD fuze in the body. The fin is threaded to receive a tracer.

The M900A1 APFSDS-T is the primary anti-armor 105 mm tank ammunition in service with the United State's Army and Marine Corps. This fourth generation KE projectile is capable of penetrating the frontal slope of fielded armor systems. In addition, the high technology penetrator and sabot design provides excellent accuracy at all combat ranges. This state-of-the-art 105 mm KE cartridge is compatible with the U.S. M-1, M-60 and M-48 series tanks employing the 105 mm M-68 cannon.

The 120mm M1028 cartridge provides U.S. Army and Marine Corps ground units with an enhanced direct fire capability. Combat proven in Iraq, the M1028 Canister provides Abrams tank equipped forces with desructive capabilities without the use of high collateral damage high explosives. The Canister round is lethal against personnel and other soft targets when machineguns cannot be used effectively. The M1028 is also effective at breaching walls and destroying point targets at close ranges. The Canister capability adds to the shock effect and firepower already resident with the tank engaged in counter-insurgency operations.

Called the "Silver Bullet" of the Gulf War, the M829A1 was last produced for the U.S. Army in December 1993. Prior to that, GD-OTS produced more than 250,000 M829A1 cartridges. As with all 120mm tank ammunition produced by GD-OTS, this cartridge is compatible with all standard NATO smoothbore 120mm tank cannons.

The only 120mm tungsten penetrator cartridge which is safety certified by the U.S. Government, the "Terminator" is a close variant to the M829A1 ("Silver Bullet"). The Terminator is specifically configured for high-end performance in the hot extremes of the desert and is compatible with all standard NATO 120mm smoothbore tank cannons.

The 120mm KEW-A1 cartridge has been developed to provide state-of-the-art tungsten Armor-Piercing, Fin-Stabilized, Discarding Sabot-Tracer (APFSDS-T) cartridges for 120mm smoothbore cannons. Produced in cooperation with General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems and RHEINMETALL, the KEW-A1 provides a high-performance alternative to depleted uranium projectiles. Incorporating the very latest in 120mm discarding sabot technology, the GD-OTS KEW-A1 has demonstrated excellent dispersion capability and the ability to defeat currently fielded armor targets. This APFSDS-T cartridge is type-classified by the German Government, is being considered for safety certification by the U.S. Government. The M830 High Explosive Anti-Tank - Multipurpose - Tracer (HEAT-MP-T) service round for the smoothbore 120mm combustible cartridge case tank ammunition employs a full diameter shaped charge to defeat a wide spectrum of targets. Extremely effective against buildings and bunkers, as well as armored vehicles and other targets, the M830 serves as the companion ammunition to the kinetic energy M829 series anti-tank munition. The M831A1 Target Practice Tracer (TP-T) is a full-bore 120mm combustible cartridge case, multipurpose training projectile currently in service on the United States Army M1A2 Abrams tank. This inert ammunition's external appearance is an exact replica of the M830 High-Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) multipurpose round and serves as a cost effective training device for tank gunnery. Matched exterior ballistics, combined with time-of-flight parameters, enable realistic training without the safety and cost limitations created by using high-explosive multi-purpose ammunition.

The M865 Kinetic Energy (KE) training round, in service with the United States Army's main battle tank fleet, utilizes a unique cone stabilizer to limit the safety fan required for tank gunnery. With its matched exterior ballistics, the M865 provides a realistic training device displaying the accuracy and time-of-flight of the service round. The cone stabilizer provides a safety feature limiting the overall flight range to under 8 km, thus reducing the requirement for extreme range safety fans.
